Providence Place Mall is a modern urban shopping mall in the central part of Providence, Rhode Island. It is composed of three main floors, and is connected via skyway to the nearby Westin Hotel and Rhode Island Convention Center. It also features several streetside restaurants. There are 160 stores in all.

WaterFire is an environmental art installation that consists of about 100 bonfires that blaze just above the surface of the three rivers that pass through the middle of downtown Providence. There are multiple Waterfire events that are accompanied by various pieces of classical and world music. The public art displays, most notably sculptures, change on a regular basis. This is a spectacular event that you don't want to miss.

Rhode Island School of Design Museum is a prominent art museum, affiliated with the well-known Rhode Island School of Design. It is the 20th largest art museum in the United States, and contains a broad range of works from around the world, including Egypt, Asia, Africa, ancient Greece and Rome, Europe, and the Americas. It also features many notable works by a range Rhode Island artists.

Roger Williams Park is a city park featuring small lakes and the city's zoo. Currently it contains a botanical center, Providence Police Department's Mounted Command center, a Japanese garden, large greenspace, and many walking paths.
